If you are starting from zero, the biggest question is not which language to learn but how to avoid quitting. Most people fail not from difficulty but from jumping between resources.
The realistic path is narrow and boring. Learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in that order, then build small things immediately. A portfolio page, a to-do app, a weather widget.
Do not chase the newest framework until vanilla JavaScript feels comfortable. React matters later, but it will only confuse you if you cannot read a plain function yet.
Aim for a job-ready portfolio of three or four projects, then apply early. You do not need to feel ready, you need to show work. The first job usually comes from a project, not a certificate.
