Most people pick courses based on what looks interesting, not on what they are missing at work. That is why so many completed courses never show up in a raise or a better job.
Start from the gap. Look at the job you want and list the skills in the description that you do not have yet. That list is your curriculum, and a course is only worth it if it covers one of those items.
Then search for that one skill, not for a broad topic. A course called Python for Data Analysis will serve you better than an Introduction to Programming if data is the gap.
Finally, verify the outcome. The best courses end with a project you can show, a certificate that is recognized, or a portfolio piece. Skill gaps close through doing, and a course that makes you build is the one worth finishing.
